A Symbiont Product Manager owns and leads the product development process at Symbiont. They interface with stakeholders, including clients, business development, and Engineering colleagues to ensure we build products that meet client needs. This will involve taking responsibility for several projects simultaneously, managing them through the full software development life cycle, and ensuring they are delivered successfully.

The Symbiont Assembly SDK is a toolset that developers can use to build application on Symbiont’s blockchain application platform, Assembly. Assembly has a novel language and programming model for writing decentralized applications, allowing developers flexibility in arranging trust relationships while maintaining privacy and dealing with concurrency.

The SDK Product Manager works closely with development teams internally and externally to ensure that our language and development tools enable developers to build high-quality applications. Candidates should be both highly technical and business aware, with a good understanding of financial technology. They should have recent programming experience. They should be independent, responsible, self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented and fast learners; and also very comfortable working across teams in a dynamic environment to produce mission-critical software of the highest quality.


  • Recent experience building software applications
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both internal and external parties in a variety of written/verbal settings
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Depth of experience with full SDLC
  • Ability to produce high-quality functional specifications and requirements documentation within agreed timelines


  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent
  • 4+ years of professional software experience within technical product management, business analysis or project management roles
  • Strong understanding of financial markets operations and processes, particularly with knowledge in back-office workflows
  • Experience gained at an enterprise software vendor
  • Experience creating API specifications
  • Git/GitHub (or similar DVCS)
  • Linux and Bash, frontend and backend HTML & Python
  • Familiarity with issue tracking applications
  • Experience with software documentation tools
